Rohrsegment

Rohrsegment is a term used in German-speaking engineering to denote a section of a pipe or tube. In English, it is commonly referred to as a pipe segment or tube segment. A Rohrsegment is typically a straight length of pipe cut from a longer run, defined by its two end faces. In pipeline construction, segments are joined to form a complete system and are often manufactured to standard lengths and tolerances. Rohrsegments may be seamless or welded-seam pieces and are specified by outside diameter, wall thickness, and length. Ends are prepared for joining by welding, threading, or flanging, with attention to end-face quality, bevel angle, and surface finish to ensure proper fit and weldability.
