Ristmic
Ristmic is a term used in certain discussions of rhythmic and spectral analysis in digital audio and speech. It describes a conceptual framework for representing rhythmic events together with concurrent spectral or timbral changes, with the aim of enabling joint analyses of timing and sound color.
Origin and usage: The term has no universally accepted definition and appears in limited, nonstandard sources.
Principles: Ristmic frameworks typically encode events in time along with associated spectral features, employ time–frequency representations
Applications: In music information retrieval, ristmic-inspired methods may improve rhythm-based tagging, beat tracking, and genre classification
