Decision-making favors actions with strong likely impact on defined outcomes and often employs iterative experimentation and rapid feedback.

It commonly pairs with frameworks such as objectives and key results (OKRs), KPIs, and SMART criteria to formalize outcome definitions. Data-driven management and outcome-based budgeting often accompany a result-centric stance.

Potential drawbacks include neglect of process quality, short-termism, mis-specified or gamed metrics, and the risk of undervaluing long-term sustainability if outcomes are not well-balanced.
