Rendszerfunkciók, often translated as system functions, refers to the fundamental operations and capabilities provided by a computer system or software. These functions are the building blocks upon which applications and user interfaces are built. They encompass a wide range of activities, from managing hardware resources to providing services for data manipulation and communication.

At a low level, system functions include memory management, process scheduling, and input/output (I/O) operations. Memory management ensures that different programs can access the system's memory without interfering with each other. Process scheduling determines which programs get to use the central processing unit (CPU) and for how long. I/O operations handle the communication between the CPU and peripheral devices like hard drives, keyboards, and displays.

Higher-level system functions include file system management, which organizes and stores data on storage devices, and network communication protocols, enabling devices to exchange information. They also provide services for user authentication, security, and error handling. Essentially, system functions abstract away the complexities of the underlying hardware, allowing developers to create more sophisticated software by interacting with a standardized set of commands and interfaces. Without these core functionalities, a computer system would be unable to perform even the most basic tasks.
