Rehome

Rehome is the act of transferring ownership and care of a domestic animal from one household to another, typically to ensure the animal’s welfare when the current caregiver cannot provide adequate care. It is most commonly applied to dogs and cats, but can include birds, rabbits, and other companion animals. Rehoming fees may be charged to cover prior care, vaccination, and spaying or neutering where applicable. Post-adoption support is often offered to address issues that arise after the transition.
