Rcuadrado

Rcuadrado is a fictional municipality in the central highlands of Noravia, created for illustrative purposes to demonstrate a typical small European-style town.

It lies on a gentle plateau at roughly 860 meters above sea level, with mixed oak forests and a short, crystalline river running through the valley. The climate is temperate, with hot summers and cool winters, and annual rainfall around 600 millimeters.

The site shows evidence of Early Iron Age settlements, but the present town developed in the 12th century around a market crossroads. It grew as an agricultural and crafts center, retaining a compact medieval core.

As of 2020, Rcuadrado had a resident population of about 3,900, with a majority speaking the national language and a minority speaking regional dialects. The population is aging slightly, with a small influx of commuters.

The economy relies on agriculture (cereals, olives, viticulture), small manufacturing, and services. The town hosts a weekly market and several family-run businesses. It is connected by a regional road network; there is no railway station, but a frequent bus service links to the regional capital.

Landmarks include the 14th-century Church of San Basilio and a fortified town square. Local culture centers on a late-summer festival featuring folk music, artisans, and a culinary fair featuring baked goods and regional specialties.

Rcuadrado is governed by a municipal council of nine members led by an elected mayor, with elections held every four years.
