Rareleptons

Rareleptons are a hypothetical class of elementary particles that are exceedingly difficult to detect due to their extremely weak interactions with other matter. They are predicted by various extensions to the Standard Model of particle physics, which propose the existence of additional fundamental particles beyond those currently known. These extensions are often motivated by attempts to address unanswered questions in physics, such as the hierarchy problem or the nature of dark matter.

The rarity of rareleptons stems from their proposed properties. They might possess very small masses, making them hard to produce in high-energy collisions. Alternatively, they could interact via a force that is significantly weaker than the electromagnetic or strong nuclear forces, meaning they would rarely scatter off or decay into observable particles.
