Rabbots

Rabbots are a breed of domestic rabbit originating from France. They are known for their distinctive appearance, with a large, floppy ears that give them a distinctive "bunny rabbit" look. The breed was developed in the 19th century by crossing French Hare rabbits with other breeds, including the English Angora and the French Angora.

Rabbots are medium to large in size, with males typically weighing between 5 to 7 kg (11 to 15 lbs) and females between 4 to 6 kg (9 to 13 lbs). They have a dense, soft coat that requires regular grooming to prevent matting. The coat comes in a variety of colors, including black, blue, chocolate, lilac, and white.

Rabbots are known for their friendly and gentle nature. They are often kept as pets due to their docile temperament and ease of handling. However, they are not typically used for meat production due to their small size and delicate bones.

Rabbots are generally hardy and can adapt to various living conditions, making them suitable for both indoor and outdoor housing. They are active and playful, requiring plenty of space to exercise and explore. Rabbots are also known for their intelligence and can be trained to perform simple tricks.

Despite their popularity as pets, Rabbots are not recognized by all rabbit breeding organizations due to their mixed breeding history. However, they are widely accepted and popular among rabbit enthusiasts.
