RAHjinder

RAHjinder is a contemporary Indian composer, vocalist, and producer renowned for blending traditional South Asian classical music with modern electronic and cinematic soundscapes. Born and raised in Jaipur, Rajasthan, RAHjinder was introduced to classical music at a young age and began formal training in Hindustani vocal techniques at the age of eight. He expanded his musical education in the 2010s by studying sound engineering and electronic music production in Mumbai, which helped him develop a distinctive sonic palette.

After completing his studies, RAHjinder launched his independent music career in 2017. His debut EP, “Echoes of the Desert,” combined raga-based melodies with ambient drone and synthesized textures. The release garnered attention at several music festivals, including the Madras Music Week and the Jaipur Music Festival. In 2019, he released his first full-length album, “Timeless Horizons,” which featured collaborations with classical instrumentalists such as the sarod and tabla, as well as experimental electronic artists from Berlin’s techno scene. The album was praised by critics for its innovative synthesis of Eastern and Western musical traditions.

In addition to album work, RAHjinder has composed scores for independent Indian film projects. His 2021 score for the documentary “Sculpting Silence” achieved recognition by the Indian Film Critics Association for its atmospheric depth. He has also performed live DJ sets in international venues, including Berlin’s Berghain club and New York’s MoMA PS1, where audiences and fellow musicians noted his ability to fuse improvised performance with programmed rhythm sections.

RAHjinder actively promotes music education through workshops and residencies that teach traditional vocal techniques alongside contemporary music production tools. He is frequently cited in contemporary music journals and has been invited to speak at conferences focused on music technology, cross-cultural collaboration, and emerging trends in the global music economy.
