Pöördkonstruktsioon
Pöördkonstruktsioon, also known as inversion, is a grammatical phenomenon in Estonian where the typical subject-verb-object word order is altered for stylistic, rhetorical, or syntactic purposes. In standard Estonian, the most common word order is Subject-Verb-Object (SVO), but pöördkonstruktsioon shifts the verb to the second position, often placing the object or another element before it. This structure is frequently used in questions, subordinate clauses, and for emphasis.
In interrogative sentences, pöördkonstruktsioon is obligatory for yes-no questions. For example, instead of "Ma tean see"
