Minuga is a fictional archipelago used in educational and narrative contexts to illustrate island governance, biodiversity, and culture. The archipelago comprises five main islands and several smaller islets, located in the imaginary sea of Lethara east of the continent of Aridia.

The terrain ranges from volcanic highlands on Core Island to low-lying mangrove coasts on the southern islets. The climate is tropical maritime; average temperatures 25-28°C; rainfall supports rainforest and coral reef ecosystems.

Evidence suggests long precolonial settlement; it formed a compact federation in 1854; gained full autonomy within a regional alliance in 1987.

Minuga operates as a constitutional parliamentary republic. The president is head of state; the prime minister is head of government. A unicameral legislature of 45 members is elected every four years; local councils administer each island.

The economy centers on sustainable tourism, commercial fishing, and small-scale agriculture, notably spice crops and tropical fruits. The government emphasizes renewable energy; wind and solar capacity is expanding. Main export commodities include seafood and processed spice products.

The population is about 1.1 million. The official language is Minugan; several regional creoles and loanwords from neighboring languages are spoken. Literacy is high; education is public and universal.

Minuga culture features music using stringed and percussive traditions, sea-oriented crafts, and annual Sea Lantern festival. The Minuga language (Minugan) is part of a local language group; it uses a Latin-based script with diacritics and is taught in schools.
