Pääomanliikkeiden
Pääomanliikkeiden, which translates to "capital movements" in English, refers to the flow of capital across national borders. This encompasses various transactions, including investments, loans, and other financial transfers. Capital movements can be broadly categorized into two types: foreign direct investment (FDI) and portfolio investment. FDI involves a direct investment in a foreign enterprise with the intention of exercising control, while portfolio investment includes the purchase of foreign stocks, bonds, and other financial assets without the aim of gaining control.
The reasons for capital movements are diverse. Countries may engage in capital outflows to seek higher returns
International organizations and national governments monitor and regulate capital movements to manage their economic impacts. Policies
