Pumppulähde

A pumppulähde, or pump fountain, is a type of water feature that utilizes a mechanical pump to circulate water. Unlike natural springs, which rely on underground pressure, a pumppulähde requires an external power source to operate its pump. These fountains are commonly found in gardens, parks, and public spaces, serving as decorative elements and often creating a soothing soundscape.

The basic components of a pumppulähde include a reservoir to hold the water, a submersible or external pump, a piping system to direct the water flow, and a decorative element from which the water emerges. The pump draws water from the reservoir and pushes it up through the pipes to the spout or feature, where it then falls back into the reservoir, creating a continuous cycle.
