Puberta

Puberta, also known as puberty, is a period of rapid physical and sexual maturation. It marks the transition from childhood to adulthood and is driven by hormonal changes. In girls, puberty typically begins between the ages of 8 and 13, while in boys, it usually starts between 9 and 14.

Key physical changes in girls include breast development, the growth of pubic and underarm hair, and the onset of menstruation. Boys experience a deepening of their voice, the growth of facial and body hair, and an increase in muscle mass. Both sexes undergo a significant growth spurt, leading to a rapid increase in height.

Psychological and emotional changes are also characteristic of puberty. Adolescents may experience mood swings, increased self-consciousness, and a growing desire for independence. Social relationships become more complex, with a greater emphasis on peer interactions.

The timing and progression of puberty can vary significantly among individuals due to genetic and environmental factors.
