In education, project-based learning (PBL) is a pedagogical approach where students acquire knowledge and skills by working for an extended period to investigate and respond to an authentic, engaging, and complex question, problem, or challenge. The focus is on active learning, problem-solving, and collaboration.

The advantages of a project-based approach often include increased focus, clear accountability, and a sense of accomplishment upon project completion.
