Pogues
The Pogues are a band formed in 1982 in London by Irish singer Shane MacGowan and multi-instrumentalist Jem Finer, among others. They are credited with pioneering Celtic punk, a fusion of traditional Irish music with punk rock energy. The group is known for its raucous live performances and for blending acoustic instruments such as fiddle, tin whistle, banjo, and accordion with rock arrangements.
