Pleea

Pleea is a decentralized, open-source blockchain platform designed to facilitate secure and efficient peer-to-peer transactions and smart contract execution. Built on a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism, Pleea aims to address scalability and sustainability challenges faced by traditional blockchain networks. The platform emphasizes low transaction fees, high throughput, and energy efficiency, making it suitable for a range of applications, including decentralized finance (DeFi), supply chain management, and identity verification.

The Pleea blockchain operates using a hybrid consensus model that combines elements of delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) and a more inclusive staking mechanism. Validators, known as "delegates," are elected by token holders to secure the network and validate transactions. In return for their participation, delegates earn rewards in the platform’s native cryptocurrency, often referred to as PLEE or another designated token. This structure reduces energy consumption compared to proof-of-work (PoW) systems while maintaining decentralization.
