Pintavärähdykset, a Finnish term that translates to surface vibrations or surface tremors, refers to subtle, localized ground movements that are not typically associated with significant seismic events. These phenomena can be caused by a variety of factors, often of a more mundane nature than tectonic plate shifts.

Common triggers for pintavärähdykset include heavy machinery operation in close proximity to the affected area, such as construction sites or industrial facilities.
