Peloistakini
Peloistakini is a genus of extinct ray-finned fish that lived during the Late Cretaceous period. Fossil evidence suggests these fish inhabited freshwater environments, likely rivers and lakes, based on the geological formations where their remains have been found. The genus was first described by paleontologist John R. Meyer in 1936, based on specimens discovered in the Hell Creek Formation of Montana, USA.
The defining characteristics of Peloistakini include a moderately deep body and a relatively large head. Its
