Pedaltechnik
Pedaltechnik, literally “pedal technique,” is the body of techniques used to produce and shape sound on keyboard-based instruments that employ pedals. The term is most closely associated with the piano and the pipe organ, though it also appears in other pedal-operated keyboards and hybrid instruments. Pedal technique covers the physical actions of the feet, expressive goals such as tone color and legato, and interpretive decisions related to phrasing and articulation.
