Paveriami

Paveriami is a fictional language developed for linguistic study and worldbuilding. It functions as a controlled resource for examining phonology, morphology, syntax, and sociolinguistic scenarios in classroom settings and tabletop games. Although widely used in instructional materials, it has no native community outside simulations.

Classification and phonology: Paveriami is designed as a language isolate with no demonstrable relatives. It employs a five-vowel system (a, e, i, o, u) and a modest consonant inventory, including p, t, k, b, d, g, f, s, m, n, l, r, and the glottal stop. Stress is typically penultimate.

Grammar and syntax: The language follows subject–verb–object order. Nouns carry numbers with a plural suffix, while adjectives generally follow nouns. Verbs mark aspect with affixes and use a limited set of mood markers. Paveriami uses post-nominal possessive pronouns and a small set of demonstratives.

Writing and usage: The core vocabulary is presented in a Latin-based alphabet supplemented by diacritics to indicate vowel quality. In-world varieties exhibit light lexical divergence. The language is commonly used in teaching materials and in collaborative worldbuilding projects, rather than as a means of everyday communication.
