Papirindustrien
The papirindustrien, or the paper industry, comprises the production of paper, paperboard, and related products from both virgin wood fibers and recycled fibers. It includes pulp production, papermaking, converting, and the manufacture of packaging materials, tissue, and specialty papers. Most modern mills use chemical pulping (often kraft) to separate fibers, followed by refining and forming; recycled fiber is integrated to varying degrees. Raw materials include softwood and hardwood pulps, recycled fiber, and energy, with products spanning newsprint, printing and writing papers, packaging boards, and tissue.
