Painottomuus
Painottomuus, also known as weightlessness or zero gravity, is a condition where an object or person experiences no apparent gravitational force. This does not mean that gravity ceases to exist, but rather that the effects of gravity are counteracted by other forces or motion. In space, for instance, astronauts experience painottomuus because they are in a state of continuous freefall around the Earth. The International Space Station orbits the Earth at a very high speed, so while gravity is still pulling it downwards, its forward momentum prevents it from falling to the ground. This constant motion creates the sensation of weightlessness.
On Earth, painottomuus can be simulated for short periods using specialized aircraft called "vomit comets" or
The effects of painottomuus on the human body are significant. Astronauts experience muscle atrophy, bone density
