Paahtimo
Paahtimo is a Finnish term meaning a coffee roasting facility or business. The word derives from the verb paahtaa, to roast, and the suffix -imo, which forms nouns indicating a place or activity. In Finnish usage, paahtimo refers to both the physical roastery where green coffee beans are roasted and the company that performs the roasting, rather than to a consumer cafe.
At a paahtimo, green coffee beans are processed in roasting equipment, typically drum roasters or hot-air roasters.
