PNDs
Personal Navigation Devices (PNDs) are standalone electronic devices designed to provide geographic positioning, route planning, and turn-by-turn navigation for drivers, pedestrians, and outdoor enthusiasts. They typically integrate a GNSS receiver, preloaded digital maps, a display, and a user interface, along with audio prompts, points of interest, and sometimes traffic information or speed camera alerts. Many PNDs are portable in-car units or handheld devices, and some are designed to be mounted in the vehicle.
