PG13
PG-13 is a film rating in the United States assigned by the Motion Picture Association (MPA). It indicates that some material may be inappropriate for children under 13 and that parents should exercise caution when allowing younger viewers to attend. It sits between PG and R, intended for films that may be more intense or mature than PG but do not meet the threshold for R. The MPAA introduced PG-13 in 1984; Red Dawn was the first film released with the rating. The creation aimed to address movies with stronger violence, language, or adult themes that still might appeal to teenagers and adult audiences without becoming fully restricted.
