PCtethered

PCtethered is a method of connecting a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to a personal computer for the purpose of sharing the mobile device's internet connection. This process is commonly referred to as "tethering" or "mobile hotspot." When a device is tethered to a PC, the PC can access the internet through the mobile device's cellular data plan.

There are typically two primary ways to achieve PCtethered connectivity. The first is through a USB cable, which provides a direct and often more stable connection. The second method utilizes a wireless connection, most commonly Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. In a Wi-Fi tethering scenario, the mobile device acts as a wireless access point, allowing multiple devices, including the PC, to connect to its shared internet. Bluetooth tethering is generally slower but can be useful when a USB connection or Wi-Fi hotspot is not feasible.

The use of PCtethered can be subject to limitations imposed by mobile carriers. Some carriers may charge additional fees for tethering, while others may impose data caps or throttling on tethered connections.
