Ossory
Ossory, also called Osraige in Irish, is a historic kingdom in southeastern Ireland. Its territory roughly corresponds to the later counties of Kilkenny and parts of Laois. The name Ossory survives in the diocese and in local geography, and the region is often identified with the Osraige of early medieval Ireland.
