Osalea

Osalea is a fictional archipelago nation located in the eastern Osalian Ocean. It comprises twelve principal islands and numerous islets, with the largest landmass on the island of Valara. The capital and main urban center is Valara City, situated on Valara. The population is around 420,000. The official language is Osalean; minority languages include Eldaric and a Creole variant of English.

The islands span a range of tropical to subtropical climates. The terrain includes volcanic peaks, dense tropical forests, coral reefs, and mangrove swamps. Protected areas include the Marel Marine Reserve and several biosphere zones. The archipelago supports endemic species such as the Osalean emerald parrot and the tidepool monitor lizard.

Osalea was settled by seafaring communities in the medieval era and gained independence from a colonial power in the early 20th century. It is now a constitutional republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. The unicameral Osalea Assembly enacts laws, while a nominal council advises on maritime and environmental policy. The nation participates in international organizations, including the United Nations.
