Orbitallerden

Orbitallerden is a hypothetical construct in orbital dynamics describing a family of orbital states that form a low-energy transfer and maintenance corridor in a planet–satellite system, where perturbations from the planet’s gravity field, solar radiation pressure, third-body influences, and other forces nearly cancel over mission timescales. In this sense, orbitallerden denotes regions of phase space that can support long-term stability with relatively small delta-v requirements for transfers along the corridor.

The concept arises from extending the classical three-body problem to include higher-order perturbations and non-spherical gravity effects. Mathematically, orbitallerden is associated with a quasi-invariant manifold in the space of orbital elements.
