Oppervlaktedek is a Dutch term used to refer to the top layer or covering that is applied to a substrate to protect, finish, or modify its surface. The word is formed from “oppervlakte” (surface) and “dek” (deck or cover), and it denotes the outermost layer rather than the base material itself. It is not a single product, but a category that includes various coatings, membranes, and decorative finishes applied to concrete, metal, wood, asphalt, or composite substrates.
