Operatsiya

Operatsiya is a transliteration of the word meaning "operation" used in several Slavic languages, notably Russian (операция). The term traces to the Latin operatio, via French opération, and denotes an act, process, or sequence of actions undertaken to achieve a result.

In medicine, a surgical operation is a procedure performed by a physician or surgeon to treat disease, repair tissue, or remove material from the body.
