Omaheke
Omaheke is a region in eastern Namibia. It is one of the fourteen administrative regions of Namibia, and its capital is Gobabis. The region is named after the Omaheke River, which is a dry riverbed for most of the year. Omaheke is characterized by its vast, arid savanna landscapes, with sparse vegetation and occasional acacia trees. The region is predominantly inhabited by communities of the Herero people, who are traditionally pastoralists, herding cattle, goats, and sheep.
