Ohjausyksiköitä

Ohjausyksiköitä, often translated as control units or electronic control units (ECUs), are integral components in modern technology, particularly in vehicles and industrial automation. They are essentially small, specialized computers designed to control and manage a specific function or system. An ohjausyksikkö contains a microprocessor, memory, and input/output interfaces to receive data from sensors and send commands to actuators.

In the automotive industry, ohjausyksiköitä are ubiquitous. They manage everything from engine performance and transmission shifts to braking systems (ABS), airbag deployment, and climate control. A modern car can have dozens of these units, each dedicated to a particular task. These ECUs communicate with each other through a vehicle's internal network, often a CAN bus, to ensure coordinated operation of various systems.
