Numpylinspace

Numpylinspace refers to the NumPy function numpy.linspace, which generates a specified number of evenly spaced values over a closed interval. It is commonly used to create sample grids for plotting, numerical integration, and simulations where a fixed number of points is required.

Usage and parameters: numpy.linspace(start, stop, num=50, endpoint=True, retstep=False, dtype=None). The start and stop values define the interval. num sets how many samples to generate. endpoint determines whether the stop value is included in the output. retstep, if True, returns a second value indicating the spacing between consecutive samples. dtype can be used to specify the desired data type of the output array.

Return value and behavior: by default, the function returns a one-dimensional ndarray of length num. If retstep is True, it returns a tuple (array, step), where step is the spacing between adjacent values. When endpoint is True (the default), stop is included in the results; if endpoint is False, stop is excluded and the spacing is computed accordingly.

Examples: numpy.linspace(0, 1, 5) yields [0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0]. numpy.linspace(0, 1, 5, endpoint=False) yields [0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8].

Notes: linspace guarantees a specific number of samples, which is useful for consistent grid creation. It differs from numpy.arange, which generates values over an interval with a fixed step and can produce a different count due to floating-point rounding. Numpylinspace is a standard tool in numerical computing workflows within NumPy.
