Northrend is the northernmost continent of Azeroth in the World of Warcraft universe. It was introduced with the Wrath of the Lich King expansion in 2008 and serves as the primary setting for that storyline, which centers on the rise of the Lich King Arthas and the scattered forces of the Scourge. The continent presents a harsh, icy environment with tundras, fjords, forests, and high mountain ranges.

Dalaran was relocated to Northrend during the expansion and sits within Crystalsong Forest. Major dungeons and raids include The Nexus in Borean Tundra, Ulduar in The Storm Peaks, and Icecrown Citadel in Icecrown.
