Nimbari is a fictional city-state on the southern coast of the continent of Eldara. It rests on the Nimbari Gulf, where a natural harbor has supported centuries of maritime trade. The city covers about 600 square kilometers and has an estimated population of 800,000, making it one of Eldara’s largest urban centers.

Geography and climate: The city sits along a delta surrounded by limestone hills. It has a temperate Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The harbor is bordered by breakwaters and a network of canals used for transport and drainage.

History: Nimbari developed as a medieval mercantile port and evolved into a constitutional city-state in the 19th century following reform movements and regional treaties. Its economy expanded through fisheries, shipbuilding, and trade, and it later integrated into regional economic blocs as a free-trade hub.

Politics: The government is a constitutional republic with a unicameral Council of Fifteen and an independently elected mayor. The council drafts laws and oversees the budget; the mayor and city administrator handle executive functions. The judiciary is independent, with magistrates and an appeals court.

Economy and demographics: The economy centers on the harbor, logistics, light manufacturing, and services. Tourism, seafood cuisine, and cultural heritage site visits are important.
