Nigua
Nigua, scientifically known as Tunga penetrans, is a tiny flea species that burrows into the skin of humans and other mammals. It is native to South America and sub-Saharan Africa, but has spread to other tropical and subtropical regions. The female flea is responsible for burrowing, typically into the feet, and lays eggs within the host's skin. This infestation is called tungiasis.
