Neidanfocused

Neidanfocused is a term used to describe practices and individuals primarily concentrating on Neidan, or internal alchemy, within the broader context of Taoist cultivation. Neidan is a set of complex practices aimed at transforming the practitioner's physical body, energy, and spirit into a state of immortality or spiritual enlightenment. Unlike Wai Dan (external alchemy), which involved the creation of elixirs through the heating of minerals and herbs, Neidan focuses on internal processes, utilizing meditation, breath control, specific visualizations, and sometimes sexual practices.

Individuals or groups who are neidanfocused dedicate their efforts to mastering these internal techniques. This often involves a deep study of classical Taoist texts such as the *Zhongheji* (Book of Balance and Harmony) and the *Cantong Qi* (The Seal of the Unity of the Three). The ultimate goal of Neidan is the refinement of the Three Treasures: Jing (essence), Qi (vital energy), and Shen (spirit). Through a series of stages, these are said to be transformed and integrated, leading to a renewed, immortal body and a profound spiritual awakening.

The neidanfocused approach emphasizes patience, discipline, and often requires guidance from a qualified teacher. It is considered a profound and challenging path, demanding significant dedication and self-awareness. The practice is not merely about achieving longevity but about achieving a state of oneness with the Tao, transcending the limitations of the ordinary human condition.
