Some practitioners also use methods such as physical therapies, hydrotherapy, or certain traditional medicine approaches; the availability of these techniques varies by practitioner and location. In some settings, naturopaths provide adjunctive care alongside conventional medicine.

Evidence and safety considerations: the scientific support for naturopathic therapies ranges from well-supported to limited or lacking, depending on the specific modality and condition. Critics caution that some treatments lack robust evidence and may delay access to proven conventional care. Potential risks include adverse effects from herbal products, interactions with prescription medications, and unsafe procedures. Patients are advised to consult with their primary health care providers and verify a practitioner's qualifications for their jurisdiction.
