Nadelfilzen
Nadelfilzen, in English often called needle felting, is a dry felting technique used to create sculpted forms by interlocking wool fibers with barbed needles. The process relies on repeatedly stabbing loose wool fibers with specialized needles to entangle the fibers at the points of contact, forming a dense, cohesive material without moisture.
Tools and materials commonly used include felting needles, which come in different gauges to control density
Technique and process typically involve shaping a core by stacking and compacting fibers, then repeatedly poking
Applications span decorative figurines, toys, accessories, and soft sculpture, as well as experimental textile art. Needle
