NACE

NACE is an acronym used in different contexts to denote distinct organizations and classifications. Notable uses include NACE International, formerly the National Association of Corrosion Engineers; the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) in the United States; and NACE, the European statistical classification of economic activities (Nomenclature of Economic Activities).

NACE International is a professional society focused on corrosion prevention and control across industries such as energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. It serves engineers, scientists, and technicians by developing and maintaining technical standards and guidelines, offering training and certification programs, and organizing conferences and publications related to corrosion science and materials protection.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers, commonly known as NACE, is a U.S. nonprofit association for college career centers and employers. It provides research, data, and guidance on recruiting practices, workforce trends, and salary information. Its outputs include reports such as the Job Outlook and Salary Survey, as well as resources and events for members to support career services and employer engagement.

NACE Rev. 2, or the Nomenclature of Economic Activities, is the European Union’s statistical classification system for industry. Maintained by Eurostat and national statistics offices, it standardizes the collection and analysis of economic data across sectors, organizing activities from broad sectors to detailed divisions to support comparability in economic statistics and policy assessment.
