MIDInäppäinohjaimet
MIDInäppäinohjaimet, or MIDI keyboard controllers, are electronic musical instruments that use the Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) protocol to send control data to other electronic devices, such as synthesizers, samplers, or computers running music software. Unlike traditional keyboards that produce their own sound, a MIDInäppäinohjain is essentially a silent input device. Its primary function is to translate the user's keystrokes, velocity (how hard a key is pressed), and other physical actions into MIDI messages. These messages can then be interpreted by a connected sound-generating device to produce audio.
The layout of a MIDInäppäinohjain typically resembles a piano keyboard, with varying numbers of keys. Beyond
