Loudnessranger is a term used to describe a family of tools and methods for measuring and controlling the perceived loudness of audio content. It aims to ensure consistent listening experiences across different playback systems by aligning loudness levels with accepted standards.

Core to loudnessranger is the calculation of loudness metrics based on international standards such as the ITU-R BS.1770 and its successor algorithms, often grouped under LUFS or LKFS.
