Lintimità is a term derived from the Italian language, combining the prefix *lìnto* (meaning "clinging" or "close") with the suffix *-ità*, which often denotes a state or quality. The concept refers to the intimate, close, and often emotionally charged proximity between individuals, objects, or spaces. It describes a sense of being deeply connected or intertwined, fostering a feeling of warmth, familiarity, and comfort.

The idea of lintimità extends beyond physical closeness to encompass psychological and emotional bonds.
