Lamineettilevyjä

Lamineettilevyjä, known in English as laminate sheets or decorative laminates, are composite materials typically used as a decorative surface for furniture, countertops, and wall panels. They are manufactured by impregnating layers of kraft paper with phenolic resin and a decorative paper layer with melamine resin. These layers are then consolidated under high pressure and heat, creating a durable and aesthetically versatile material. The manufacturing process bonds these components into a single, solid sheet.

The surface layer, often printed with various patterns, colors, or wood grains, is protected by a transparent overlay that enhances its resistance to scratches, stains, and heat.
