Lahtiühendaja
Lahtiühendaja, often translated as disconnector or isolator switch, is a mechanical switching device used in electrical power systems. Its primary function is to provide a visible break in an electrical circuit, ensuring that a circuit is safely de-energized for maintenance or repair work. Unlike circuit breakers, lahtiühendaja is not designed to interrupt fault currents or operate under load. Instead, it is operated only when the circuit it controls is already open and carries no current. This visible air gap is crucial for safety, allowing personnel to confirm that the circuit is indeed isolated from any power source.
Lahtiühendaja typically consists of a set of moving conductive blades that are opened and closed by an
