Laddstatus

Laddstatus is a term used in asset management and safety domains to describe the current condition and availability of ladders within a facility or operational system. It refers to a structured set of data and processes used to record ladder identity, location, inspection results, maintenance actions, and usage status so that ladders can be managed safely and efficiently.

In practice, laddstatus is implemented as a data model within asset management software, a CMMS, or a safety-tracking application. Typical elements include a ladder identifier (such as a serial or tag number), ladder type and material, location (facility, area, or dock), and a status field with values such as OK, due_inspection, under_repair, damaged, or out_of_service. Associated attributes often record last_inspection date, next_due date, inspector, defects or notes, maintenance actions taken, and optional evidence such as photos. The data supports state transitions (for example from OK to due_inspection or to out_of_service) and often ties into scheduling, work orders, and audit trails.

Laddstatus is used to support safety compliance, maintenance planning, and asset inventory. It enables operators to identify ladders needing inspection, repair, or replacement, aligns with regulatory requirements, and provides visibility through dashboards and reports.
