Löökkeevitusseadmeid, also known as shock absorbers or suspension dampers, are mechanical components designed to absorb and dissipate kinetic energy generated by road irregularities, vehicle movements, and other dynamic forces. These devices play a crucial role in enhancing vehicle comfort, stability, and handling by reducing the impact of bumps, potholes, and uneven surfaces on the vehicle’s chassis and occupants.

The primary function of löökkseadmeid is to control the oscillation of a vehicle’s suspension system after it encounters a disturbance. They work in conjunction with springs or other elastic elements to provide a smooth ride by converting the kinetic energy of movement into heat through internal friction. This damping effect prevents excessive bouncing, swaying, or diving, which could otherwise compromise passenger comfort and vehicle control.

Löökkseadmeid typically consist of a cylindrical housing filled with hydraulic fluid, a piston connected to the suspension, and a valve system that regulates fluid flow. When the suspension compresses or extends, the piston moves within the housing, forcing fluid through the valve.
