Köpekgiller

Köpekgiller is a Turkish term that broadly refers to the family Canidae, commonly known as dogs or canids. This biological family includes a diverse range of carnivorous mammals that share a common ancestry. The most familiar member is the domestic dog (Canis lupus familiaris), a subspecies of the gray wolf.

The Canidae family encompasses a variety of animals, including wolves, foxes, jackals, coyotes, and various wild dog species such as the African wild dog. These animals are characterized by their long legs, non-retractile claws (unlike most felines), and typically a keen sense of smell and hearing.
